Opportunity for impacted local residents to have a say

The City is proposing to install traffic management treatments in Beachside Parade between Zamia Rise and Templetonia Boulevard, Yanchep.

The proposal involves the installation of one raised plateau at the intersection of Beachside Parade/Everlasting Road and one asphalt speed hump immediately north of Tinsel Street. These works have been considered necessary as a result of concerns raised by residents.

The installation of these traffic treatments will be effective in reducing vehicle speeds using Beachside Parade, as well as deterring hoon driver behaviour, which in turn will lead to safer roads. While these speed cushion treatments have been known to impact residents with an increase in vehicle noise, the benefit by reduction in speeds should offset this impact.

A copy of the concept plan (4385-1-C) for the proposed traffic treatments is provided for review - See Related documents.

Residents in the section of Beachside Parade affected by the works can provide feedback on the proposed traffic treatments from 26 July to 12 August 2024 by email.

Alternatively, residents can provide feedback in person, return the completed survey questionnaire mailed to them in the post or by email to traffic@wanneroo.wa.gov.au
