Proposal details
The City is seeking your feedback on the proposed installation of traffic management treatments on the section of Quinns Road, from east of Elliston Parade to west of Seaham Way in Mindarie and Quinns Rocks. The proposed treatments include the installation of speed humps, a red asphalt median and raised median islands as shown on the attached concept plan 4469-1-0. See Concept Plan in related documents.
Proposed traffic management treatments will help reduce speeding vehicles, reduce traffic volume and provide cyclist and pedestrian refuges which can assist with road safety.

Summary of changes
The proposed traffic treatment scheme involves the installation of speed humps as slow points and raised median islands with pedestrian refuge with flush median island in-between.
The proposed traffic management treatments are as shown on the attached concept plan 4469-1-0.
The installation of raised / flush medians is an effective method used for road narrowing. Some of the advantages of installing median treatments and speed humps include reduced vehicle speeds, reduced traffic volumes and the ability to provide cyclist and pedestrian refuges which can assist when crossing the road
