Notice of Proposal to make a Local Law

The City of Wanneroo resolved at its Ordinary Meeting of Council on 26 May 2026 to advertise the following proposed Local Law:

Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2026

The purpose of the proposed Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2026 is to regulate the care, control and management of property under the care, control and management of the City including thoroughfares.

The effect is that some City Property is set aside for particular uses, some activities are allowed only under a permit or under a determination, and others are restricted or prohibited. The Public Places and Local Government Property Local Law 2026 also establish offences for inappropriate behavior in or on City Property.

A copy of the proposed law may be inspected at the City of Wanneroo offices at 23 Dundebar Road, Wanneroo during normal office hours. Electronic copies of the Local Law can be found in the document library to the right or downloaded from the City’s website at www.wanneroo.wa.gov.au
