Step 1 - Review draft Local Planning Strategy
Review the draft Local Planning Strategy (See individual chapters, background information and appendices below).
The City invites you to provide feedback on our first draft Local Planning Strategy (the draft Strategy).
The draft Strategy recognises the diverse nature, opportunities, challenges and competing priorities of the City of Wanneroo and sets out the intent and objectives for land use planning and growth to the year 2041.
The draft Strategy will provide a foundation for the future development of the City with a focus on sustainable urban development, housing diversity, economic growth, quality public spaces, and protection of our environmental and community assets.
As the City’s overarching strategic planning document, the draft Strategy will provide the basis of our local planning framework, guiding future land use decision making. Once finalised, the draft Strategy will inform the preparation of the City’s new Local Planning Scheme No.3 and all future plans and policies.
To get involved, follow the steps below, review your chapters of interest, then click on the "Drop-in sessions" and "Feedback form" tabs for full details on the draft Local Planning Strategy and ways to have a say.
