The abovementioned development application is being advertised for public comment and proposes the following:

• A 142-Megawatt BESS facility proposed to connect to the South West Interconnected System via Western Power’s Neerabup Terminal;
• The system will have a four-hour supply capacity and will be used in Western Australia’s (WA) Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) for buying and selling electricity;
• 330kV distribution transformer, control room, network service provider room and other associated buildings on site;
• 34 power conversion systems, 132 battery containers and 4 auxiliary skids;
• 10 parking bays on site; and
• Associated reports including bushfire, traffic and noise impact assessments.
