Proposal details

The abovementioned development application is being advertised for public comment and proposes the following:

  • The movement and stockpiling of material (sand) to facilitate the preparation of the subject site for future civil works and subsequent residential development.
  • Approximately 20,000m3 of cut and 80,000m3 fill will occur across Lot 20 and 21;
  • Lot 51 will require no fill, with an anticipated 30,000m3 to be excavated. The remaining 30,000m3 of material required is anticipated to be imported from nearby Jandabup Sand Quarry or Neerabup Quarry, subject to availability of material from each site. The Jandabup Quarry is located approximately 2.7 kilometres east of the subject site and the Neerabup Quarry is located approximately 11.5 kilometres north-west of the subject site. All material will be transported using semi-trucks. Proposed vehicular routes are provided as follows:
    • Jandabup Sand Quarry - along Hawkin Road, Towsend Road and Rousset Road.
    • Neerabup Quary - along Flynn Drive, Wanneroo Road, Pinjar Road, Caporn Street and Mariginiup Road.
  • Works envisaged to occur for a period of five (5) months from the issuing of approval;
  • At peak, the proposed development will generate approximately 3 semi-trailer truck movements per day (3 inbound movements and 3 outbound movements) for movements between Lot 51 and Lots 20 and 21. This will increase to 10-15 semi-trailer truck movements per day (10-15 inbound movements and 10-15 outbound movements) for material transported from the Neerabup Quary or Jandabup Sand Quarry;
  • Truck movements to occur between the hours of 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Saturday;
  • It is anticipated vehicles will enter the subject site on the southern portion of Lot 21 where abutting Mariginiup Road and Rousset Road. Access to Lot 51 will occur from Mariginiup Road.
